Question on what to use? (Weapon Wise)

Hey fiestafan, I''m new to the forums and such, but on Closed Beta I was a mage, so I'm not too good with fighters quite yet. But yeah, I'm full END right now(Level 21), and I have a axe and then a sword and shield with me. Should I go with Sword and Shield, I enjoy the axe, but I have read, and been told, and kind of think myself sword and shield would be better in the long run.

Since you're full END, I assume you want to be a tanker? If you wanna be a tanker, then generally you would go with a one handed sword and shield so you get more defense.

Axe is for damage builds where you have more STR, and two handed is more of a hybrid, I think.

I don't play a fighter myself but I think that's the general idea. Though you might want to wait for someone with more expertise in fighters because I might be wrong. xD

^Blaaaaaahs is right.

For me....Im Full end...So I defanitly would lean towards the sword and shield, where as if you were full Str...then you should use the axe

You should always have your 1-hand, Shield and Axe no matter your build.

Use situationally, Shield+1-hand for whenever you're supposed to be taking damage (partys/KQ tanking) and Axes for when soloing/damage-dealing.

Alright, thanks! ^_^. Now to Ivramire's comment, which skill would I empower? 1-hand(Slice and Dice), or the 2-hand skill(Can't remember the exact name! >_>)?

Power hit?

slice and dice is pretty weak and useless.. you may as well save up the points for Devestate!

If you're planning to use axe pretty often, then power hit is worth empowering for extra dmg

recommended skill enpowerments for Fighters

Power Hit-full power
Mock-Cool down (if you party at all)
Devestate- which you get somewhere in the 4x range
Full cool time, Sp consumption, duration and possibly power. Easily Fighter's best skill.

What I would like to do is:

Devestate: use alll 20 skill points for that.

Then put all your skill points into skills with less cooldown time, I feel that's good so that you can spam all our skills. It will waste a lot of SP though.
