Microsoft Access

Anyone know much about Microsoft Access?

I haven't used it for so long, I've forgotten what it can do...

Can it do simple calculations? (like a formula which is referenced to another field?)

Isn't Access just for database and queries (that break your computer)?

Can't you just use Excel for formulas and calculations?

I'm sure that Access could probably use formula too (I don't have a lot of experience with it so I can't help you). But I guess it depends on the formula.

We've got this database that's in excel at work, and the amount of data we're trying to put onto an Excel is going beyond the capability of Excel... (finding lotsa errors coz we're like copying and pasting and stuff)

I'm making an attempt to move it all into Access (which my boss hates, but if I can do it properly I might be able to convince her)

Most of it is just.. data.. except for 1 column where the number is based on another number... so i wonder how i can.. get that happening...

So I'll hv to do the calculation in Excel then paste it into Access..

That's a dangerous step.. will have to check on that..
