Newbi questions

Okay they noob questions cause im am a newby.
1) What are the classes
2) what is best calss
3) If anyone willing to help me out with armour/wepons/money please post name and server

Classes: Fighter, Mage, Cleric, Archer.

Best Class: There is none. There are pros and cons for each class.

Fighters: are good tankers and damage dealers. My opinion, they are best for soloing. But they have a high aggro, so you will probably need a lot of HP pots and stones unless you have a lot of END.

Mages: Low END drastically. If you get attacked by anything you could kiss your butt goodbye. Mages are good for soloing either if you have high END or empower power into your attacks.

Clerics: They can heal themselves which comes in handy but they are also the must relied on class. Any time you are in a KQ you always have people asking you to heal them or revive them. It gets annoying after a while because you can't heal 24/7 and there is a 30 second cooldown for reviving. Really good soloers though because you can heal yourself so you don't need much hp pots or stones.

Archers: They have powerful attacks when used right. You could put your stat points in strength or spirit for the most part. Archer attacks are kind of weak solo, but if you use a skill attack they are quite powerful, but also use up spirit kinda fast. You might want to make sure you have spirit stones and pots. I think it would be safe to say that you might not want to try to solo with an archer unless you have a good build or nice armor because they are practically the same with mages.


And I'm sorry but I don't think I can help you in game because I have to train my own characters and I am barely even on anymore. I have a lot of stuff to get done over this summer.


EDIT: You might want to check the FF Wiki for more info on the classes. I just summed them up. Once you decide which class you want just go to the Wiki and find that class's guide. They help a lot.

Mage~fun and dangerous class.

Archer~also fun, and balanced [though lacks a lot in many things]

Fighter~fun and exciting, but makes your life hard financially

Cleric~easiest to level alone yet the backbone of a party and could lead to making you bored since all you'd do is HEAL HEAL HEAL

But that all depends on what you feel like doing IG.

A note on clerics, I wouldn't underestimate the easiness of playing one.

Lower levels it's fine, but as you get higher and higher you'll notice that you seriously have a lack of damage to solo your way through a level (unless you're built for pure solo XD / CS's)
So in order to level, you'll have to party. Fun and easy to get into one, harder to actually keep people alive especially if you lag etc. *O*

Cleric: Heal slave.
Mage: Damage slave.
Fighter: Tank slave.
Archer: No one wants. Sorry archers, it's true. Hardcore grinders will take a mage any day.

Best class to play? That's pure opinion. Archers have it the hardest to get a party; there are so many clerics and fighters that they have almost as hard of a time getting a party too. Mages die fast; half of them are so uppity about INT that they get three hit by a TR trumpy.

For the record, I am a full INT mage with emphasis on END +9 equipment. I only do what, 50 damage less than a mage with full INT equipment?
