Perhaps you should say that you don't mind taking hits from time to time rather than tanking. It's obvious Mages' magic is much more powerful than what the current Fighters can take. But saying you don't mind "tanking" probably isn't the best way to get that weird thought out of other people.

Mage/Archer = DD Fighters = Tank Clerics = Support/Heal D<

I'll give my 2 cents, personally if i go out AoEing I DON"T CARE ABOUT how much hp a mage has. When i pull the trains i pull are so big that a mage will get pawned if i lose aggro no matter how much end they got in their equipment. Therefore i prefer a mage that can deal 1k damage per hit of inferno/nova and die in 3 hits (cuz they won't die to often as i seldomly lose aggro although it does happen), rather than a mage that can withstand 6 hits and deal 600damage with inferno/nova.

ps: i do admit that after cap is released AoE parties are kinda slow for me :P as the fastest leveling for a str fighter is soloing in dungeons with charm of might as u can pull about 3.5+million xp/hour in TR not to mention the level 80 Dungeon, if there will be xp bonus i'm pretty sure some people will be able to get over 6-7mills per hour >:].

Now going back on topic Spirit said is not the fighter fault when he constantly loses aggro, I disagree, 80% of the time it is the fighter's fault, Y?. Simple most fighters just mock and devastate straight off the bat and they lose aggro because they dont' know how to hold it. A very important thing for a +9 user is to try to have vitality on as much as possible as it will do wonders in holding aggro. Also first mock than wait for a few seconds and only after use Devastate, doing this will extend the period he holds aggro. If done right Mock and Devastate will Alternate each other and hold aggro continously. Also there is a thing called skill spam, if u see a monster leaving the group use a strong skill on it to regain aggro, if see 3 mobs leaving the group, kick one, hit the second one and run to hit the third one after.

People think playing fighter is simple minded reason y so many fighters fail in playing their class.

Teq, you can't really compare bk mages to here, considering this is more like "Fiesta Lite", which is unfortunate, but true. =\

And uhm zwivix... Not everybody has access to somebody they can trust to enhance, or the money to pay them, and aren't willing to shell out RL money in-game for stuff. Is this their fault? Yes, as its their choice and/or circumstances. Should they be chastised for it and be unable to really play their class because of it?

No.


No class, in any game, should have to rely on the assistance of the cash shop, even if its upgrades. Those types of things should be a luxury, not a necessity.

But yeah, if you're having trouble surviving, just get someEnd gear, and while people say "Its gonna be useless when they do this or that" well....its not useless now, and knowing outspark, I REALLY doubt they'll change anything to benefit the class when it woudl take away from their cash shop income.

I have a mage alt and i have +5-+7 all my armore. But it's not so i can FRONT LINE LOL. It's more for when a ranger in a Kq atks me o rwhen im soloing adn my beasty dosn't die fast enough. Mages should never try to tank EVER.

Btw not being able to afford +9 IS NORMAL

the only time when the mage tanks in my party is when hes/she is like lvl 50+ and just doing quest as i get amost free xp
