Someone just tried to log into my fb account from south korea. Apparently facebook has you confirm if someone tries to log in from an unfamiliar location. I always thought I was pretty safe about my info but I guess not.

I keep wondering. What would some1 from South-Korea want with your information?

I have one gmail email account (that I barely use) keep sending me suspicious sign in prevented emails.. and the location that they try to sign in from is always different.. Norway, Sweden, France..

You have to change your password each time right? So they're able to get it even after you change it lool?

No I haven't changed my password.. because I don't use that email and there's no contacts on there..

But it said it's prevented so they can't get in anyway right? xD

oh LOOL. Yeah I guess, just make sure you don't use that email as one of the backups for the emails you do use.

I guess it's good that Facebook tries to stop logins from unfamiliar locations, but it can be a little inconvenient. When I was flying to the US, I went via London and since I didn't have my phone I was going to tell my parents over Facebook, but it didn't let me log in, and wanted me to confirm over my phone which of course was back home haha. Resorted to good old fashioned email.

I hate it when gmail blocks me, because to verify myself I have to enter my phone number.. (which wasnt connected overseas like Vasu)

Even when I come back to Sydney it still wants my details..

I try so hard to not give them anymore information than needed...

I'm sure Google knows you better than you do. Especially since they probably keep track of your searches.
