My advice, and this is what i do very commonly
1. Check the experience reward and rate how difficult/fast the quest is to complete
EG: a quest A is worth twice as much as quest B, but quest B only takes 5 min, compared to quest A's 30 mins . What do you go for? quest B!
2. Does it link? If theres a quest called "Bomme is a cool cat 1" then its safe to assume there will be a "Bomme is a cool cat 2" with greater experience and will be slightly harder.
3. What type of quest is it? there is, to my knowledge, 6 basic types of quests.
-Hunt & Kill (and occasionaly pick up a drop)
-Kingdom Quest based
-Repeat
-Gather (think mining)
-Delivery
-Dungeon
Now, Hunt and kill are the bread and butter, good xp, easy to complete and fast.
Kingdom quests are a chance that you get the kills you need, you should never rely on it as a leveling method (only as a way to have fun
).
Repeats, have the second worst exp, take a looooong time, the only reason they exist, is cause they can be done, over and over..... which is needed in later levels.
Gather missions, such as get 2 apples, 2 sages, 2 leafs etc, usually have the worst xp, avoid them at all costs
Delivery is the best for time, and decent for xp, use the town teleporter a few times and your done!
Dungeon are the hardest, as odds are, you wont be able to find a party, they give good xp and good time, IF you can find a high level guildie to do it with
But to make it simple, the things you'd get at an early level have terrible xp compared to later levels ( a level 1 wouldnt need as much xp for a quest as a level 100).
Sorry about all that, didn't realise i typed so much
