Monitor help D:

I got a new monitor, but I can't get the resolution right!

My old monitor was not a wide screen, and I used the 1280 x 1024 resolution.

I got a wide screen bigger than my old monitor, but the problem is, when I go desktop > properties, the biggest resolution I can set is 1280 x 1024!! I went down to 1280x786 so that things don't look stretched, but everything is HUGE.

How do I fix it? I wanted to use a bigger resolution.. is it my graphics card? =[

LOL I sorta have the same problem. When I play Fiesta or ESO my resolution for the game is set up high and everything looks great. Than when I get out of the game my desktop icons are HUGE and I lower the resolution back down.
