There ish also a rumour of a lame American version under production with some Disney idiot starring as the main char... This movie is in Japanese with English subs, the duration is roughly 130 minutes.

I remembered that there are actually two parts for the DN movie. I watched the first one. It was great! But I didnt read the manga or the anime that time. So it's good. 4/5 star for me. o.o

I prefer the anime more than both the manga & the movie. The one Disney kid is starring in will give me plenty of lols and chills down the spine *can't wait*.

screw american remakes. they always end up half arsed.
Loved the original anime. It is slightly different from the manga but that has its ups and downs. And yes, the movie was in two parts; Death Note: The Movie and Death Note: Last Name if I remember correctly.
