Preview: Battle of Xanda

Quote:
Battle of Xanada
Deep in Mount Xanada, the Heavenly army led by General Rezin has been battling the Demon army led by the Bull God, Oxen Ultera. The fierce battle has been raging on for days, with both sides in disarray and exhaustion has hit both armies. Both leaders have been pinned down at their respective sides, completely exhausted from the days of combat. Which side will you join to help break the stalemate?

How to Join?
Battle of Xanada is a new battle ground that can support up to 500 players in the battlefield. The battleground will be divided into two teams, the Heaven Side and Demon Side.
Players can obtain War Declaration of Blade or Tower from the Dweller of Vacuity. The War Declaration that you receive will be random and each War Declaration will put you in a specific team when you join the battleground. The War Declaration of Blade will put you in the Demon side, and the War Declaration of Tower will put you in the Heaven side.
You can only obtain War Declarations at the following times:
11 AM Server time to 2 PM Server time
6 PM Server time to 8 PM Server time
8 PM Server time to 10 PM Server time

You can only get 3 tokens each time, and can get 3 per day. The tokens do not expire.

On the Front Lines
Once you are dropped into the front lines, you can get quests to earn experience for killing members of the other team. Some quests will give you experience tokens and other rewards. You can also gain Dragon Bronze Coins from completing quests, or killing enemy players and NPCs. Dragon Bronze Coins will allow you to purchase potions and other objects that will help you in your battle.
All Dragon Bronze Coins and items earned will be removed upon leaving the Battleground, and will only last for the one match.

Both sides will have NPC units that spawn every so often, charging into the battle. Players can make their advance with these NPCs and reach the other side’s commander. The side that defeats the other team’s commander will be declared the winner.
Defensive towers will also be in the way, slowing down the players.

Field Map

Heaven’s Portal – Starting Area for Heaven Side. General Rezin is here as well as NPC Vendors and Quest NPCs. Players will respawn here when they die.

Source of the Tiger –Vendor NPC for Heaven Side
Source of the Phoenix – Low level mobs that drop Dragon Bronze Coins
Heaven’s Fort – Quest NPC for Heaven Side

Players on the Heaven Side would start at the Heaven’s Portal. Upon joining the battle, make sure you collect the quests from the Heaven Supervisor (-251, -149, 360). He gives out various quests which will reward you with Event Tokens as well as Money Bags. Most of the quest involves killing enemy NPC units.

Whenever you kill enemy NPCs or enemy players, you can get drops that will give you Dragon Bronze Coins. You can use the Dragon Bronze Coins to exchange for items to help you in the battlefield. You can exchange your Dragon Bronze Coins at the Profiteer Supplier, located next to the Heaven Supervisor, as well as in the Source of the Tiger.

Continue towards the Heaven’s Fort where the Heaven Vanguard is located at. Help the Heaven Vanguard stay alive, and you will be rewarded with more event tokens. You can also exchange your Dragon Bronze Coins with the Heaven Vanguard.

Shadefall Cavern – Starting Area for Demon Side. Oxen Ultera is here as well as NPC Vendors and Quest NPCs. Players will respawn here when they die.
Womb of the Dragon –Vendor NPC for Demon Side
Womb of the Tortoise – Low level mobs that drop Dragon Bronze Coins
Xanada’s Fort – Quest NPC for Demon Side

Everything is the same for the Demon Side, except that you would start at the Shadwfall Cavern. Players would advance towards the Xanada’s Fort, through the Womb of the Tortoise.
The Yaoh Vanguard is defending the Xanada’s Fort and needs your help to stay alive.

Battleground Tips
  • When starting the battleground, make sure you familiarize yourself with the map. You can go through the path in an S route. You cannot fly above the mountains.
  • Make sure you get all the quests you can.
  • Defeated enemy NPCs may drop a Sacred Silver Chest, which gives you 40 Dragon Bronze Coins. They can also drop Astral Etherelics (used to imbue Dominance Gears)
  • Defeated enemy players may drop Irised Celestial Gems, which gives you 100 Dragon Bronze Coins.
  • Get into groups and use the potions that give the group buffs, they stack with the single potion buffs.
  • Move slowly and make a push when your NPC guards spawn.
  • Completing specific objectives (killing enemy NPCs, buildings) will give your team points. If no team is able to kill the opposing team’s general, the team with the most points will be declared the winner after 3 hours.
  • There is a floating platform above the Warbanner islet with a NPC that sells higher quality potions. Control this platform to keep all the potions to your team.

Okay, just finished the Battle of Xanda and I must say they did a good job on it.

It's chaotic more or less since people are just starting to get the hang of it but is so much fun. You are fighting with people you normally wouldn't and going after those who are normally your allies. Randomness.

Below is the ss of my buffed stats. xD I managed to kill a few players and got enough coins to purchase the better potions.

Not to mention the quests are great too. Even though the demons lost I still managed to get 650 dom. points. :]
