where do I look to find everything I need?

Free Battle Zone 1, 2, and 3.

Chest spawns, and it may give you the quest items you need. (Drop rate is fairly low though, you have to be very patient.)

Stockings are also dropped from monsters.

Where do I go to enter Free Battlezone 1?

You go to Roumen and you talk to the BattleZone Gatekeeper in 2F in the map, near the Town Portal Guard.

If you want to try other FBZ:

FBZ 2 - Elderine guard (also near the teleporter guy)
FBZ 3 - Uruga.

in Roumen, next to the town portal guard, is the Battlefield Gatekeeper (F2).

FBZ2 - is in the the garden in Elderine, at bottom left of the map...
