Meh. they're really close, but a bit different. Hrae's saying life is just full of shit, plain and simple; i think it's a bit less general than that and saying something ABOUT life that's shitty.

Wow. That is so... powerful. So deep. That's just amazing and crazy all at the same time. Just... wow...
And as for the morals, I think it can go several different ways. It all depends on perspective.

i assume you're referring to the family scene, Jack?
Also, i'd like to ask everyone's opinion on something: do you think the Baby made it, or died? and furthermore, what do you think the baby was supposed to symbolize?

One of my favorite bands acctually did a whole song and music video based on this movie. It acctually takes clips from the movie. It has a different ending though. Tell me your takes on this one:
Also, to lirange, though it IS true that the baby would have MOST LIKELY had problems, when my sister was born, she was born a premmy. my parents hadnt done anything wrong, smoked, drinken, anything. in the room next to them, there was a mom with a perfectly healthy baby who was asking to hurry up the paperwork so she could get out and have a smoke. Im guessing she probably wouldnt have gone 9 months without smoking if a paperwork break was too much for her. so there IS a VERY VERY VERY slight chance that you'll get lucky and get MINIMAL problems (though any baby effected by heroine AND alchohol will almost deffinitely have problems.)
so.. to sum it up it IS possible that the baby lived. not probable, but possible. I think it was meant as a symbol more than a character though.

i acctually think i figured it out. i think the baby was a symbol for hope, and her future, as they are usually. I think that you're supposed to decide whether her hope died with her, or if her hope lived on.
