Just hit and away.
If you have stun or slow enemy skill, it's good tactics.
Because the enemy is pulled like the kite, it says kiting(or kite).

I still kite at level 27 near the Marlone monsters, it's not really that hard. I run whenever my skills' cool times haven't finished.

lmao have fun with kiting. I see no use in it what so ever and just a death trap. I'm sure you've been in Sea of Greed a lot lvling. And I don't mean the smart phinos that are just on the path, i mean inside it.

I actually have never kited before as well, having played both a mage and an archer. I reckon it takes up too much time Dx or I'm just slow at finding a safe spot to run away to. But I reckon kiting would work better for mages.. cos every time they hit and run, they can stop again to do a large amount of damage. Whereas archers don't do a lot of damage at once and does "little" damage every hit, so kiting is going to take even longer to kill a mob.

i never tried kiting because you shouldn't have to run. We have DEX dodging and all. If you got the right build you don't have to kite. The only reason why you'd have to kite = bad build imo. Kitting just shows how weak you are, if you have to kite go to a different lower lvl monster. Or party up, not that hard >.>

Wow, I'd never even heard of kiting until I saw this thread. I thought that hit n' run tactics were ok with archers and mages.

kiting = hit n run lol....just a fancy name for it...but which a archer hrmm i dont see the need for it...with a mage oh yes kite plenty but with a archer if your build is correct then you should have no need for it.

I don't Kite in the game! It's time consuming because you have to run away and hit monster again when you can just kill them! I kite sometimes or maybe its called Lure when i am in a Party! lol

even for a mage kiting is just a suicide trip. You are bound to run into other agros when you go into the higher lvls. Also most monsters are faster or as fast as you, and since you have to stop to cast, they catch up to you easily
