Robo KQ Sucks Pretty Hard

One of the skills you need to learn in Robo is how to RUN!

Stock up on some T1 speed scroll...

When the massive mob spawn, help fight a few things if you can, but once 2 or more things start hitting you, start RUNNING!

With speed scrolls, the melee mobs rarely catches up to you... ranged mobs will occasionally get a hit or two in, but you should have enough time to pot / stone...

Don't cut corners, run in a big circle around the room.

the longer you can run for, the bigger chance it is for you to survive...

And watch the timer... if u died at 5 mins left... and there's still lotsa people running around, wait your time out before getting up.. never get up too quickly... always check your surroundings before getting up (like dont get up when someone with a bunch of mob is running towards you)

And never stand still.

Your survival is more important... than killing any mobs, so if you see a bunch of mobs heading your way, RUN!!!

Robo is easy as long as people generally know what they're doing. DDing classes should be AoEing as much as possible while fighters tank and clerics heal. As long as you have a couple of good tanks and competent clerics, you'll be fine. If you're in-doubt about whether or not you can win, it doesn't hurt to get someone to declare being runner, kindly reminding people of what to do if they're not doing it (kill vivis and archers first, don't leave room yet), etc.

I loved doing robo. My fighter is tank-built and teamwork is absolutely essential in robo. It's not like MD where you can have two really good tanks, two clerics, and you're good. Once I was capable tanking, I never had failures unless things were really, really bad (runners going into rooms or through the middle, clerics not healing, etc). And I didn't even have to scroll up. Like it was mentioned, robo lets you separate the competent players from the incompetent. I got a lot of friends from robo that I still quest with from time to time.

Imho, you only need one runner though. If multiple people are running, chances are, the trains will crash with each other, and it never ends well... Running isn't always necessary (I've done robos that had no runners successfully), but it's the best thing to do. Just don't get an incompetent runner. A lot of people who volunteered to run had no idea what they were doing and ended up getting us all killed. Too bad I was usually tanking robo because everybody wants to kill robo, regardless of how much time is left on the clock.

I agree that it's best not to get up too fast, but if you don't see a lot of people around, get up. There's nothing worse than losing robo because everyone's hoarding their hearts, hoping for other people to get up. And it happens more often than you would think.

I've seen some stupid cleric DANCING while people are lying around dead...

then 10 sec later he gets killed by a mob that charged at him from afar...

Yeah, they did that for a good minute AFTER the mobs appeared. Then this one guy who was all like "I feel so godly because im the highest leveled cleric here" Started griping because he "somehow" pulled the entire rooms worth of mobs and wanted to cry "n00b" and say people were not doing their job. If he was doing his job, others would be alive to do their jobs, which would keep him from getting flattened to begin with, and I would be lvl 39 right now. Not sitting at 87%...
