Soylent fulfills all dietary needs. I suck at being a vegan with real food LOL

idk if blood tests cost you much there but I was gonna suggest taking one before you take soylents and then after (like, a month or something on it).

At least that way you can confirm that soylent isn't bad for your body...

but still, you can't rely on that stuff long term. Don't you remember why you stopped?!

Yeah I'm super skeptical of Soylent and other meal replacements. It's going to be like juice or milk or something where they convince everybody that it's really healthy and then 20 years later, actually find out it's not so great for you.

Though one of my coworkers does this weird thing where he's vegan for breakfast and lunch on weekdays and not vegan for everything else.

Honestly, just have a balanced diet. That's all there is to it.

Gotta take some risks. I guess I can be a test subject.

Probably he wants to go 100% vegan but finds it difficult so he's like 50% vegan.

I've been vegetarian all my life (not vegan, love my dairy products too much) and it's not too hard to get your nutrition in. Obviously the sources of protein are not as obvious but beans lentils, soy, tofu, cheeses all help. Advantage of growing up in India I guess, lots of vegetarian cuisine.

My personal opinion after moving to the US is that people here try too hard to find "meat substitutes" and I find stuff like soya chunk faux meatballs or tofu hamburgers etc but I don't like that. It's essentially I imagine a shittier version of the original I assume. Vegetarian food can have its own nice taste, but if you try to imitate the taste of meat you'll only have an imitation IMO.

Then again I have no idea how all of this will work with Soylent.

From my experience, the best vegetarian food is the stuff that's not trying to imitate meat
