From some war (forgot which) Russian soldiers ran through some country (D8) and saw water faucets with running water. They were surprised, and thought that they could have running water anywhere. Then, they ran through houses, ripping out the faucets. Not really smart. xD;

So, in the anime/manga, Russia is usually shown carrying a water faucet. o:
