A little worried about false positives from people just because they might not like a site for arbitrary reasons. A lot of the negative reviews of the addon are complaints of just that sort of thing. Can't hurt to try it out though.

WoT doesn't just rely on user ratings but also uses
MalwareDomains and other reputable block lists put together by knowledgeable people. Although users can input their opinions, the WoT community often heed advice from a few members who are themselves malware researchers and security experts.
@cilia: Doesn't AVG warn you about dangerous links? Its latest free version has Link Scanner which does just that.

comparative test of many antivirus brands. I've been following it for a while and noticed that AVG's performance is not as good as the other free alternatives such as Avast and Avira which also use much less system resources than AVG.
