Thankfully I only use my phone for emergency phone calls and casual texts. But with all of these sites wanting you to link your account on this site with your account on this site, and sites requiring your cellphone for security purposes, and altering their ToS so that you have to use your real identity and not some fake one (like when I join some sites I'll put Katie Noneofyourbiz as my name) and I have various emails I use for different sites. It's not different from them leeching personal information from your phone, so I do what I hope I can.

I've had same # and phone for a year and a bit now ... think after reading this it's time to drop the plan and switch carriers ..
