Need some help

Does anyone recognize these characters?

I ask because on occasion while played a game, my keyboard will stop responding and that little box with various characters will start popping up in the bottom right side of my screen. I feel I must be activating some sort of Windows 7 foreign character input something, but I can't figure out exactly what it is.

I've found that if I hold down ALT while the box is up, my keyboard functions work again. And it isn't my entire keyboard that goes out. It's just the numbers and letters. Enter, ESC, Function keys...they all work normally.

It's kind of meaningless... in the same order:

Farm Day Farm Wood Day

it looks like it's trying to let you type chinese or something but I'm not sure @_@

Yeah, I was pretty sure it was meaningless. It was what was popping up while I was trying to push the WASD keys to move. But now that I know they're Chinese, it might help me on my Google quest.

It's either chinese or japanese

It appears that hitting alt+shift enters the keyboard into an alternate input mode for Japanese characters and I have been inadvertently hitting the combination.
