I stand corrected. My poll created back in March, the majority of the votes were to leave it as it is.

KT's poll a few months back ended the same way. I shall go look for hers now.

We have had multiple polls, all turned out the same. So, for now, yes, it stays. This is not saying that we will never poll the option again, but with the last poll results being back in August, it is not likely to happen anytimr soon.

@Vasu: We tried resetting it using the rebuild user reputation option but it didn't do anything... o_o We're not sure why, yet. We'd like to do it if we can, but just have to find out what the problem is.

@kirby: That is weird. I checked the permissions and you should be able to hide your reputation. Any users out there that doesn't have the option?

Edit: Oops never mind, I did not look at other threads while I was looking into this. You should see it now, kirby.

heh since when has fiestafan NOT been a popularity contest?...Even SoTW is a Popularity contest when it should be based on artistical ability not someone whos popular slapped together image.

I really don't know much about vbulletin. I've said this to many people and I never hid that fact. Actually I thought it was pretty obvious too. o.o"

I guess you'd always assume that administrators know everything, but I guess it's different in some cases. I have volunteered to be an administrator to take care of basic admin duties like starting guild forums and etc to help out Entropy because he is busy. I am sure Entropy already knows that I am not well informed in the technical side of things.

If you really want to be helpful here, maybe you can help the forums out and actually look for reasons why that option did not work. I've already tried googling for solutions but I failed to find any. Not saying the solution isn't out there, but I can't really spend hours on this right now due to work.

But if you'd like to sit back and not do anything, then I'd suggest you not to speak in such a degrading tone, as I can't say that I've seen you put much effort into this yourself.

I've skimmed through the manual, and I think it's because kirby doesn't have a group, he doesn't have that feature...

Well, I'm no ace at anything either, so I suggested what seemed to me the best course of action. If it can't be done, it can't be done. And@Spirit, I think having a "Do Not Care" option or an "Undecided" option is just a waste of poll space. If you're undecided, you don't vote.

If you don't like Obama or McCain, then you don't go to the polling booth. It's not like you go there and demand for a "Don't Care who's President" option.

Putting that aside, from most of the comments in your thread, I can only surmise that most of the people were like "whatever..leave it".
Another person was like "I'm not 100% clear but so and so is my gut feeling". Honestly...

But like I said, the poll results are not my point. I have made my suggestion, I'm tired of repeating it. If an admin can do what I suggested, that'll be great. If they can't, then whether you leave the rep system as it is, or reset it, it'll be unfair to some group of members. This is the primary reason I said I would not have voted in that poll. Both the options kill. It's just a difference of who they kill.
