I havta admit, I am reluctantly liking Coldplay right now (No hatred, just I'm more of a Radiohead fan). I was even temped to pick up Viva La Vida recenly.
As for My tastes, I'm more of a rock kinda girl (anything, Alternative, Classic Rock, Indie. Etc), although I DO also listen to Rap
& some Country (The more Rock-ier stuff like Keith Urban and Gretchen Wilson) among others.
Althought I've alot of "older" CDs (read: 1990's), I'll keep my list down to some more recent finds.
Aesop Rock-None Shall Pass
Beck-Modern Guilt (but I also really like The Information)
Black Kids-Partie Traumatic (it's a bit on the poppy side)
Bloc Party-A Weekend In The City (But there's going to be a new album out (hopefully) sometime later this year)
Common-Finding Forever
The Cool Kids-The Bake Sale (Anyone into the 80's Run-DMC style of rap (like I do) will love this)
Death Cab fo Cutie-Narrow Stairs
Duffy-Rockferry (Another out of the Amy Winehouse/Lily Allen camp, but without the baggage. I'd actually referred to her (to my mom) as a reincarnated Dusty Springfield)
Lupe Fiasco- both Food & Liquor and The Cool (Anyone else upset he's calling it quits after only three albums?)
Foo Fighters-Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace (Big FF fan)
Iron & Wine-The Shepard's Dog
kos-Atlantis:Hymns for Disco (Not that recent (2006-2007), also he's label as rap, but he's more rock and instument based, as well as he more sings than raps)
M.I.A.-Kala (I do like Paper Planes, but I'd really recommend her duet with Timbaland, Come Around)
MGMT-Oracular Spectactular
My Morning Jacket-Evil Urges (Still alternative, but kinda with a Southern Rock edge)
The Roots-Rising Down
Santogold-ST (L.E.S. Artistes. 'nuff said)
Tegan & Sara-The Con (Title cut is very catchy)
TV on The Radio-Dear Science, (New stuff out in September, which I'm thrilled about)
