The inversion thing doesn't bother me anymore, it only does that once every 6 pages, and I think my brain has adapted to it coz I don't see it anymore...

Reading at night is great! My hubby was just complaining that he can't sleep when I have the bedside light on.. so the Paperwhite turn up just in time for me to read off the backlight.. and it doesn't hurt my eyes the way my phone does~

Hahh yeah, I think I must have noticed it too when I first started using it but then became accustomed to it which is why I had no idea what you were talking about and didn't even notice it in the video lool.

That's cool! I kinda want my kindle to break or something so I have an excuse to buy the paperwhite because it just seems more convenient to read at night. What're you reading right now??

I was reading this really depressing autobiography... I love autobiography.. but this lady's life is like...

The book is called Elephant Girl and it's basically about this lady who was abused / not loved as a kid and now she's just getting sucked into the cycle of poverty.

A bit about the flaws of government assistance... why is rent $90 when she's unemployed then when she's employed the rent is $180? If she's unemployed she's got no income. If she's working she's just paying the whole of her paycheque into rent...

But it's getting harder and more depressing as I read it.. feels like a very bias story, I dunno if I can finish it...

Do you have anything u recommend?

Well I guess she isn't poor now since she has a published book.

And I'm not sure if we have the same taste on books, though the more popular ones that I liked are Book Thief, Kite Runner, and Lovely Bones. Have you read any of those? You can specify sample books with your Kindle to see if you like it.

She may not be coz I got her book for free LOL

Haven't read any of those... I shall download some samples... the Kite Runner sounds interesting... I do like reading books that give me an idea of another culture / way of living...

I HIGHLY recommend Kite Runner and Book Thief(it's not just another ww2 book). Be ready to shred some tears though. What I really liked about Kite Runner was that there was so many "OMGWTFADSFAS?!!?" moments. The first one comes around chapter 7 or 8 I believe. If you end up reading them let me know what you think!

I'm looking to buy a kindle too now.. what do you guys recommend?! do you have one just to read or do yours also have those extra functions like games and emails and stuff.

Kindle is purely for reading... they have some simple function to browse the web but it's not very smooth you prob wouldn't bother using it...

The one I have is just for reading too, you should get a tablet if you want all that jazz. Android and apple both have a Kindle app so you can get books from Amazon still.
