I don't remember if I read it in middle school, I do remember reading a portion of it... But I'm not sure when I read that portion. All of my middle school life, one teacher for English and social studies (as in teacher A taught me English and SS in 6th grade, teacher B taught me Eng and SS in 7th grade, and teacher C taught me Eng and SS in 8th grade). I was also in the advance classes.

6th grade is a blur
7th grade is kinda a blur
8th grade... I only remember 2 books atm. To Kill a Mockingbird and Chocolate something.

I can't remember which books I read as assignments and which I read on my own. I went thought about 50 books a year back in my school days. Well, until high school. Then various extra curricular activites took priority.

I read To Kill a Mockingbird in the 6th grade and after I finished it, I realized I was too young for it. And then I read Portrait of Dorian Gray in 7th grade and realized I was too young for it...

I keep telling myself to read it again sometime... har har. Just add it to the pile... ~_~

Hrm.

9th grade we did: Animal Farm, The Odyssey, Romeo and Juliette (I think)
10th grade: Lord of the Flies and Julius Caesar (except I missed that.. o-o)
11th grade: The Crucible, The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men
12th grade: The Awakening, Siddartha, Oedipus Rex, Heart of Darkness, Metamorphosis, Portrait of Dorian Gray... I feel like we read more in 12th grade... o-o.

I dun remember. Dx

Anyway. We were supposed to read all those books but... The Awakening I had read the summer before and Portrait of Dorian Gray I had read in 7th grade (forgot it completely) and I just spark-noted Heart of Darkness because it was end of the year and I had major senioritis and I couldn't bother with it anyway.

Ah, yes.

Yes. But I didn't read To Kill a Mockingbird. She split the class into 4 groups and each group got a book. xD

summer before 9th Grade was... All Quiet on the Western Front, Flowers for Algernon, and... one more about a boy, his brother in a war... something...

9th Grade was... Romeo & Juliet, The Merchant of Venice, Of Mice and Men, and... Not sure what else.

10th Grade was Les Miserables, Fahrenheit 451, Night, one about a Japanese girl who's mother suicides, her father marries his mistress, and stuff; and some others I can't remember. Some in my class read The Count of Monte Cristo.

11th Grade was The Great Gatsby, The Scarlet Letter, The Crucible, some plays by Arther Miller, and some other things. I also read Catch-22 and The Catcher in the Rye for our summer assignments.

12 Grade was Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildestern Are Dead, Crime and Punishment, and.... I don't remember the titles of the rest. @_@

My personal favorite years are 10th grade and 11th grade. I didn't like the work we had to do, but enjoyable books. <3 I enjoyed some from other years too, but I enjoyed the ones I read in 10th grade and 11th the most.

Nope, don't think I have Kirby.
