We have been having events monthly. It's been three months into the year... almost 4. There will be more chances for other tags, not getting one this time isn't an end all situation. We're open for event suggestions too.

If we gave everyone a tag... it's not going to be so special anymore.

There is also the SSOTW that may get you a tag.

If you participate in (and win, LOL) events, you get various types of tags for a week/month/year depending on the event. Some tags are accompanied by a change in the colour of the name.
