I don't think blacklisting guilds would work too well. I think it's better to judge the individual rather than the group. I'd hate to be part of a guild and just get beaten on just for being a part of it.

I don't like "authority", either. Sometimes they abuse their power which causes us to rage. However, if you don't want to live in a society where everyone respects everyone and loves to maintain peace and harmony, there's no point in discussing this any more.

Without "authority", orders are a lost cause and you'd live in a jungle where survival is the only rule. With that said, even animals, believe it or not, live in some sort of structured organisations where each member understands his/her place and works to better his/her group. Example.

I find it funny that people will complain about authority but will hide behind it when it is convenient. The same authority that people complain about is what gives order and definition to society. Police are an authority but without them society would have no controls to protect people from those that would prey upon them.

Without authority there would be no control and then there would be no guidelines. I would suggest to those that think authority is bad grow up. Without authority, rules, laws, and governing bodies then you would have no rights. Not even to live.

Think about it. Without authority chaos would reign and the people that complain about the “evil” authority would be easy prey for those that would rather use violence to settle a dispute. So before complaining so much about authority, you should remember that the same authority that you complain about is the same authority that protects you. This is of course if the authority isn’t abusing the people that they state they are protecting.

As for this site, without the authority and rules that have been put in place there would be no control and chaos would reign. Just think for a moment, if anyone could post whatever they wanted then there would be no stopping hate from taking over the site. People could post hateful offensive material against race, religious beliefs, color of skin, ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientation, and any other bigotry they wanted. Is that what you really want for this site? Does that make it better, cooler, or somehow “more now”.

How would it make you feel if people were posting hate bashing threads? Would that make you feel good about this site and spending time here?

If authority sucks, then when you get robbed at gun point, do NOT call the cops, they suck remember. If a family member gets killed by a raged gunman, let it go. Don't even worry about finding out who killed them, or putting them in prison. Because that is authority and it sucks. Even if you have a wreck in a car, don't report it. Authority is shit. If someone on this forum calls you an asshole, suck it up babe, because authority sucks.

All these were examples and some may have been bad, but it is early for me.

The fact still remains, that authority is needed. You may disagree with just the rules and laws that you do not like and there fore say authority is shit, but you sure do use authority with the rules you like. You like the fact that authoirty puts price caps on products so that merchants cannot price gauge you. You like the fact that authority says people cannot just walk up in your house and take what they want. hmmm..... yet while they are protecting your rights, they are shit for doing it??

I think both absolute views on authority are rather naive. A careful balance must be struck. Like I said, its a sometimes needed evil. Authority for the sake of authority is oppression. It must be forever watched and pushed back by those who value freedom. Personally, I'm a bit of an anarcho-libertarian. I'll always side with less authority and interference, even though on a pragmatic basis I see the need for some sort of social contract.

If you're getting robbed at gunpoint, the cops are going to be absolutely useless. If people invade your home, cops are going to be absolutely useless. Protect yourself and your family. You cannot rely on others in this life. And frankly, if someone calls me an asshole, yeah, I'll either suck it up or return the favor. That one was weak, but like you said, you were groggy, LOL

Ha, the guild that was famous for that was pretty hilarious. We spent the entire time chasing them, or being chased by groups of them when we were alone. They just refused to play fair (and didn't really speak English). Very irritating, but if it's that annoying you can just not participate in the war.
