Why doesn't it look like you gained any exp.? I know it says you did, but the exp around your head in the top-left didn't move... Is it that hard to gain exp at 8x?

in one of the screenies it shows how much i need to level, like 28,5xx,xxx...and yeah it only gave me 16,xxx |
