I am a runner, I am only 5'8 and I run around 5 minute flat for a mile and there are runners that's like 5'2(my teammate and runners from other school), that runs like 10 seconds faster than me.
5'2 is short.
Taller people are mostly slower, taller people use more energy to move because of their lengthy bodies. Shorter people use less energy to move from their shorter bodies and can express out their energy in a burst, giving them a strong sprint to the finish. Tall people will sprint slower from their lengthy body and use of energy.
Also there's no "right amount" of muscle, everyone have the same number of muscles.

Lol. I'm like 5'5'' ish and the fastest person at my school is definitely taller than me xD && I know he does a mile faster than you @_@;

Chinese train longer and harder than any other country. They start as kids. The team gets better and better every year, ahaha. I bet they'll do fantastic this year.

and haha, Kenyans & Ethiopians trains longer and tougher than Chinese, they have huge problems within their country, making it harder to train and they have no transportation of anysort but their leg. They have to run to school, run back home to eat lunch(they only eat a bit due to problems in the country), run back to school, school ends, do their running practice, and then run back home. Interviewed Ethiopian runner before, so i know ;D

Ya, they will play against Turkey in semi-finals, and Russia will play against the winner of Spain/Italy quarter-final.

I thought the Dutch team looked really good too, in their round robins against France and Italy.

Russia will probably play Spain since Italy's been very... meh.

And Chinese are good at other sports too. Chinese divers are really good. And weightlifters.
