Tell them to go take colour theory.

You can always try analogous, ditones, tritones... anyway I believe the site was colorluvers or something like that. There was another one that comes with Adobe but forgot was it was called.

I'm a little late, but try a 2 color scheme with 2 shades of each color. Like 2 green with 2 blues.
