I remember hearing about that too, though I didn't know When they cry was affected, I remember that School Days' final episode was postponed for similar reasons.

Haven't watched anything new in a while, but I used to be a pretty big fan. I used to love discovering smaller, less-known series, like Kino no Tabi, Mushishi, Honey and Clover, and Crest/Banner of the Stars (*cough cough* where my handle's from!). Still watched the "big" series from time to time though, with my top three favorites being Fruits Basket, Kenshin, and Death Note.

Nowdays, my only anime exposure is listening to Yoko Kanno soundtracks. Yoko Kanno = my goddess of music *_*

Anime also appears to encourage gang activity. The image to the right was sent in by a reader. Notice how the young lady is flashing gang signs? Apparently she is a huge anime and “say-you” fan. Those signs are similar to the ones you’d find in the hood.
