If not selling Elderine scrolls could stop bots... hahaha.

Not to mention OS made it easier for newbies to travel to Elderine. Nothing will aggro you if you went through SoG.

I see a lot of vendors buying stacks of Elderine scrolls for 1-5s apiece. That's way too suspicious to be legitimate. Believe it or not, if even some of the gold spammers had to walk their characters to Elderine,they would take longer to do it and there would be less money to go around, hence: fewer spammers. Fewer spammers means less advertising, meaning less sales, meaning less incentive to farm in the first place.

It would make a difference. It might not stop bots, but it would certainly make a difference.

These people have nothing to do than to spam. Take 5-10 minutes to walk to Elderine then set up whatever spamming program they use and that's it.

If I was in need of Elderine scrolls I would set up shop for that much. They're not worth anymore than that... not even.

I highly doubt that stopping the sale of elderine scrolls would help stop spamming bots. If you say that the spammers buy their elderine scrolls, they cost ~10s a scroll in Teva. I haven't seen bots around for a while, but in case they're still there, I don't think they have the mind to NPC things for money --> pass the money on to spammer bots --> spammer bots use money to buy elderine scrolls and go to elderine.

Then again, not sure how they get to elderine in the first place. Walking could be an idea, because once you get a bot to the location it's there forever until it gets banned.

If Fiesta can Make a program to Use a Spam blocker, then there be no spammer in the game like the bots, then again people will hate you cant shout for 1 min to do the shout out for them Title.

If the bots can't get to Elderine they will just stay in Roumen which will drive out new players who probably haven't learned about the block option.

And I have seen a bot moving before... probably to go into a 'secluded' spot to spam whisper. I won't be surprised if I see one moving about in SoG or FoM to get to Elderine.

I've seen a bot log on, and invited it to party straight away. It rejected my invitation straight away too, SO IT WAS THERE! I started trading it but it never responded. Not even the "789dsff has rejected the trade" thing after it expires (which is supposed to show up).
