Like if you're gonna go with that sort of design it should look as if you really did slice open your skin and trying to keep it together with rings/wire/etc. The only thing with tattoos is that the colours do not look as well as it did on paper... :P Unless it's.. black... .__.

Grotesque but interesting imo cause I'm not into that stuff... but if you actually do get something like that you better find a damn good tattoo artist. Even if it does cost an arm and a leg it'd be worth it.
