I've only tried it once but someone told me to unequip everything before you go in then re-equip for the hallways. I just wanted to explore but I managed to make it to the end before dying

I have yet to try it again but this time I'll try unequping my bow before I go in

I think sometimes people take it too seriously. w00t.
