lulz I was in a newbie game just then. I think we all didn't really know what to do with our heroes... but there was a point where everyone ran into each other in midlane - the two pirates dropped their ulti in the same spot, the two akalies (I'm one of them) dropped their shrouds next to each other, and everyone was just fighting inside the pirates' ultis LOL.

All the skill effects were like *0*0*0* I was too busy *0*ing that I died in the mess.

Edit: *0*0* even though I've been playing ashe a lot lately.. I never realised that the ulti has no range limit + the further away, the longer it stuns until Ralath told me. So I gave it a try in a newbie game and I fired an ulti like.. a bit less than a third of the map away and ZOMGG it's damn LONG! Long enough for me to run up and hit. *000000000000000*

A favorite Ashe trick is to let somebody wail on your tower. Fire your ult at them from the base fountain. Wait a few seconds. Start teleporting to the tower. Watch them be hit by your arrow. Mop up.
