i agree ^ i'm always the 1 firing the 2nd poison with correct timing
as most archer just dish out their skills again after it cooldown
like this
Aoe poison > disease > bleed > poison?
doing poison when poison has oredi landed wasting sp ><
anyway i'll leave this here for more votes till i think it's enough for my collection of results

You know what's funny? How Archers go on and on about their DoT and how Mages are all about DPS. Well, first of all "DPS" stands for "Damage Per Second" and "DoT" stands for "Damage over Time". Okay, so, how exactly does an Archer do more DoT than a Mage? If we do more damage every second than an Archer than technically we do more damage over time. Either way I did vote for a Mage because we just rock.
We're great in parties and with two or three of us, a Cleric, and a Fighter (who knows what he/she is doing) you've got just about the greatest party ever. You'll kill mobs fast as hell and gain tons of experience in a short period of time. I'm not saying Archers are bad or anything its just that they can't compare to Mages when it comes to that sort of thing. They can, however, kick our ass in PvP. Unless that Mage has Fear, lol.

Yeah.. seems like they're the DPS and we're the DoT. Yeah, while they can auto attack and they have poison, we do a crapload of damage in one hit, and spam our skills.

Both, If you have a mage and an archer in your party you can pwn anything, for example lets say you were fighting legendary tree, mages could AOE and spam all the trees that come with it (cant remember what they are called) while this is happening Archers can AOE poison them all (and add disease, bleed and poison to leg tree) and if the archer is higher lvl we can use aoe bleed etc. this means that the mage can easily wipe out the subordinaes while the archers add debuffs to help greatly in the long run

Sure, archers can poison, and they might be able to dodge a hit if things go south, and they can pull mobs easier...
But mages have the raw DPS that I love for grinding.

I chose to be an Archer because they sounded great, and I have a lot of fun on him. But I have to admit the raw power of a mage owns an Archer's DoT.

IMO, it's pointless to ask people that are actually playing a mage/archer.
No offense, but those that are playing a mage/archer are almost always going to vote for what they play. That's ... why they play them right? You don't want yourself to be in a party? >.>
I think mages and archers are evenly balanced.
All the KM parties I've had with a mage has failed. Of course, it's mainly based on the person, but the mage always spam skills really quickly to draw aggro, die, and then blame the cleric, or just stand there and do nothing at all. Or the guy uses that lightning spell, which just negates my bleed =.="
But when the mage gets the 20 second fear spell, and their nice little spell that burns the mana right off our shoes, who'd want an archer? Who gets three AoE spells, the essentiality for leveling?
I don't really mind what party members I have (well, a cleric please >.<). Archers and mages are all the same thing to me.
And I believe we have stronger DoT than mages. I mean, if a mage dies, they don't exactly have lasting damage effects (not debuffs, actual damage). While if an archer dies and already put poison and bleed on an enemy, that damage will continue to go on the enemy (though not for long .__.)

Agreed.
Personally, I wouldn't mind for archers to get one more... interesting spell. Sometimes, I feel like a one-trick pony because all I'm casting are these bleeding and poisons skills along with my aimed and power shot. I dunno the new skills that are available but Ensnare or Entangle cannot come fast enough. I would kill for some sort of buff or Cure (because we are the poison masters and all that ^^ . Even the mages get Dispell. :/
Otherwise, I'm level 34 right now and I have the hardest time finding parties. I go to CP occasionally and I see these mid-level 20s getting parties while I see level 40+ archers (and even mages occasionally) not get parties.
Very frustrating.
