If we were to get gold in TT you would need at least 5 games in ranked TT to get the rewards.

No, you need to win 5 games with the respective team queue to get the rewards if you joined after September 1.

ok. point being, it doesn't matter HOW many you lose. Your ending ELO can be 600 as long as you get gold first. That's how it works, right?
