This is how I see it. It shows how he got the mission and how he met all those people. Then they do the mission but once he goes into limbo.. the story only follows him. The other people did get back, but you don't see it. When he wakes up on the plane... its limbo. And thats all I have. I can't make it make sense any other way. The way my brother says it all works... is just dumb, IMO. I can't even explain his way
