I atttempted +9 like 6 times with everything i had... Now i ended up with no armour, but a +8 Short Sword (Y DIDNT I +8 BROAD SWORD OMG!!)

I think Mages are supposed to be able to go Human, Elf, or Dark Elf. It's just different races. =D

im pretty sure classes are race locked

fighters & clerics: human
archers: elven
mages: dark elven

so, yeah, youve been playing a dark elf all along~
