If you Windows account has admin access, it should be a snap. Otherwise, you might need to do some registry editing from Safe Mode. Of course, I'm really not sure how you could do it and not make it obvious you'd bypassed it, though.

Log in as administrator.
Remove program via Add/Remove programs.
If administrator is locked:
Turn off computer.
Turn on computer.
Spam F8.
Safe mode launch.
Log in as default "Administrator."
Remove program as Administrator, or remove password on another administrator.
Restart computer.

I'm advocating it. Registry editing can work, but beyond most average users' capabilities. Brute force appears to be the only solution.

Talk about really not being subtle at all, heh. I was thinking about borking the startup entries in the registry, so that the program would still appear to be working when the parent opens it up. I'd have to play around with the actual program for a bit, though, and since it doesn't really affect me, I can't be bothered to find a copy and screw with it. Maybe if I get really, really bored.
