my mother was never worried about anything i did because she knew that violent video games and such wouldn't make me want to do that irl and stuff. i've been watching rated R movies for as long as i can remember (my mom's favorite movie is pulp fiction and i watched it with my parents when it first came out i guess)
but this has pushed another thought in my mind. some parents are sometimes unsure if they are doing a good job as a parent i think. i wonder if that can sometimes make them over protective because they worry how these things might affect their kids if they haven't raised them well.
not saying that's the case here, it was just a thought that popped into my head.
