okay, well you should put the word thingy aside, so uncheck it, we'll start with the easy stuff.
First off, your desktop is probably plain, you should probably get a callender, date, time, etc. Make it look cooler.

Am I the only one that had that emerge desktop work? Lol

Enigma works nicely and is easy to edit IMO.
Might want to get a wallpaper with some white space (open space) so that your calendars and what not aren't blocked/hard to spot.

Oh yeah, Launchy is a good app. It works just like Vista's search in the Start menu. So it's nice to have if you plan on getting rid of task bar.



The one thing that bugs me about the date/time thing I have is the kerning... so ugly.

yea, if your using the one i have, its kind hard to see, but you can just use the sidebar they give you and put your things on that

lol okay, now for the hard part...
well i'd erase everything but one section
like firefox
oh and to edit it you have to right click on the app>skinn menu> edit skin
Delete everything except the firefox part
It should have this line -----------------------------------
to seperate it

okay, now that you only have firefox, you want the thing to work right?
well in the code there should be something like this

LeftMouseDownAction=!Execute [!RainmeterRedraw]["Cocuments and SettingsHome_My Documents"]

Now near the execute, it should have a comp link. But since they have a diff comp then you you should change it. Now go to your firefox short cut, right click that, click properties, and copy the target. Now replace everything in the quotes, make sure you dont have extra quotes though. If you did everything right, firefox should be working. If it is tell me

I'm trying to find the Xtreme App Launcher that Ice talked about to d othe desktop links....

but i couldnt find the serach button LOL! Not sure where to look...
