I have an Idea for the member event tags

Though I thought the real tag-space was used for guild and official FF tags, it isn't a bad idea.

Hmm.. it's possible.

Though, it would probably have to be one generic tag between all events and they will not be getting coloured names (like the member of the month). We haven't allowed member-ran events to get official tags because

1. We'll be running out of colours
2. It may decrease "the specialty" of the other officials tags for official events.
3. Too many tags, it will be pretty messy (since I think it's kind of messy already and makes the forum look bad @_@)

And I don't think guild forums are required for this since I can just create a user group for it.

The reason we have not allowed members to create guild forums for tags because guild forums are.. just for guilds. Allowing members to easily accept/disapprove to get "custom" tags would make getting tags "too easy". There's also a potential chance of abuse (not saying any current event hosters could, but we're talking about official tags here. It would be nice if we could at least restrict the access to these tags). Even if it's for member-hosted events, I prefer to manually do it myself provided that the event-hoster PM's me the name.

We will also need to consider what kind of events should get this tag privilege. We cannot have somebody create an event that is pointless and allow contests like that to be tag. Events will also need to be kept active. Perhaps events will also have to undergo 3-5 rounds of "trial" to determine whether it's active enough to deserve the tag.

So, I think if we were to implement the idea, then it will have to be one generic tag between all events and it will be added manually by the administrators. That, or the tags will have the same designs, but different words. These limits are to avoid the main problem I am worried about, which would be making official tags less special. The reason everyone wants one now because they're not "easy" to get (for event tags). That's why we haven't done it until now.

But if it's only one generic tag with no coloured name, it may work. And I do not see the harm in it either.

Well there have been more than 5 of my SOTWs o: and its still going fine, don't know about Amber's Art Contest and Hazu's Writing Contest, but they also seem to be doing just fine o: We could decide on the main tag to be used and... yeah x3

Right now I just made a guild forum thread, since both Amber and Hazu are in it its a nice place for us to discuss, easier than PM. So yush :P
