Think about it this way. Some stupid kid comes up to you every day and punches you in the stomach and runs off. First few times, you try to counsel this kid and tell him "bad kiddie, no punchy me in the stomach," but he keeps on coming back. After a while, of course you're going to punch him back! What, you're going to let him continue to damage your abs each day?
