Are you for real, Hyper? @_@!!!! I wouldn't completely rule out that possibility.
There are researches going on about the possibility of living on Mars. Pretty much because once upon a time, Mars had the same atmosphere as Earth, just that it's kinda of "frozen over" now. What people are trying to do is (I think) "change" the atmosphere and "warm up" the planet so we can move there if Earth breaks down.
^ In the most simplest term so I can summarise it shortly ^
Of course, I doubt that's gonna happen in the next half a century. It's gonna be a long long long time before they get that going from the looks of it. But, hey, technology do do some crazy things. Just the matter of time.

Quantum computing. Too early to say anything but it's not impossible. And when it's around the corner, I can't really say what we will achieve. Just know it's something amazing. But for sure, you get a lightning fast computer to start with.
A step closer to time travel, but still a long way to go.
Intelligent robots? We're getting there. The age of "Terminator" may also follow but not before we give them a brain. Machinery evolution will still largely be sci-fi at least in the next 5 years or so?
New cures for old diseases. New diseases to add to our list. Mortality will decrease but will be aided by abusive and ignorant lifestyle.
Advanced technology to help us work, and also help us get lazy. Serious implications for health and wellbeing. I mean, some people take the lift from level 2 to level ... 3 at my uni.
An aging planet and the portending gloom by the current meteorological development. Doesn't matter if we're the ones to blame, we need to work on ways to deal with it and the anti-climate change groups aren't helping. They should get a hobby and stop printing nonsense pamphlets to save some trees.
New species to discover. We still don't know a lot about our own planet yet.
Admittedly, humans evolved to adapt to whatever changes that may occur that's why we're so defenceless in nature but our superior intellect fills in that gap. We need to stop clueless people from making policies, though.

Swine flu turns us to zombies and we are foced to evacuate earth >.>.
/maybe
I watched some show in the History channel and if we harness anti-matter (which involves bankrupting the USA just to make 1gram of it) because, if we combine matter and anti-matter we can generate enough energy to travel to other galaxies. or something likew that >.>.
oh ya takes only a few tablespoon of anti-matter to do that o.o.

1 May 2009 -- The situation continues to evolve rapidly. As of 06:00 GMT, 1 May 2009, 11 countries have officially reported 331 cases of influenza A(H1N1) infection.
The United States Government has reported 109 laboratory confirmed human cases, including one death. Mexico has reported 156 confirmed human cases of infection, including nine deaths.
The following countries have reported laboratory confirmed cases with no deaths - Austria (1), Canada (34), Germany (3), Israel (2), Netherlands (1), New Zealand (3), Spain (13), Switzerland (1) and the United Kingdom (8).
Further information on the situation will be available on the WHO website on a regular basis. WHO advises no restriction of regular travel or closure of borders. It is considered prudent for people who are ill to delay international travel and for people developing symptoms following international travel to seek medical attention, in line with guidance from national authorities.
There is also no risk of infection from this virus from consumption of well-cooked pork and pork products. Individuals are advised to wash hands thoroughly with soap and water on a regular basis and should seek medical attention if they develop any symptoms of influenza-like illness.

it really isnt that bad. it only has killed one person so far in the US and that was because it was a toddler, i.e. crappy immune system. the media's making it seem worse than it is.
