KQ also frustrate the **** outta me - on my fifth failed attempt to survive one - i actually made it to the point where mara was a thump on the knee away from dieing before she turned around to say hey to me - i die - 'success!' chimes above - i get revived - no loot
that's the closest i've been....... guess it would be better if they were easier to get into - and this is the part where some one keys in with a 'i get in everytime first click yada yada.....'
not so much.

Mara was not hard to get in compare to wat u're about to face later on (gold hill to be specific) coz there's like 9-10 rooms...

and i dont think i've failed any.. i thought it was impossible to go wrong with Mara... but i was wrong... i've had a few close calls with my mule...

someone lured a fake by accident... (coz we only had a mage, and their range isnt as great as archers) and got a few ppl killed... we ended up hving a tank that ran the Fake off the boat.. and stay there, 20 metres away, so we can kill the real one... (by this stage there's only about 10 ppl left) i thought that was a new strategy against fakes... kekeke

Kq had been fun for me since open beta from lvl 6 up to lvl 45 ... but after lvl 45 KQ start to get sucky xD ..."i believe no one ever win a Honey KQ".. so now i start out again with my other two alt characters and want to enjoy Mara and KQ and Gold Hill all over again.. butfor real .. Mara and Gold Hill are getting sucker days by days luckily both of my alt are about to be over lvl limited "Mara" .. I can't wait to enjoy Robo KQ xD ... eventhough i didn't have a single failed KQ with these character .. but only b/c i have lvl 47 buff... and i was the main tanks withs 5 scroll on me or else it would have been a failed KQ ... well it only a games .. we juss enjoy it when we can .. or put up with the noobs when we have to and try to win ...

Actually, i've played both a Mage (duh) and an Archer and the range difference isn't that significant. In fact... I didn't even really notice a difference. But the thing is, Mages (if they know what they're doing) can pull just as well as an Archer can if not better.

ohh i dunno i've only played mage and not archer.. and it looks like archer has a better range.. but if u've played both and u say so... then thats cool

i tried giving a go at pulling once.. but everytime i hit my skill shortcut it walks too far into the boat... in the end an archer did it.. so many i'm just a crap mage XD i still prefer my cleric =)

Mages i completly agree! But here are some things i would like to point out.
1 Ice bolt has farthes range for mage, i think about 2 meters farther AND it (can) slow Mara/Marlone
2 somtimes real is in a crappy spot
3 when i played Mara KQ i usually pulled, and always got the reals easily if i do say so myself

To be more on topic the 1 time an archer really wanted to pull so we let him and you know what happend?
First he pulls fake mara then he pulls real mara BEFORE we get rid of fake
so we have to fight 2 (sigh), plus he kept stopping us from death pulling it untill we just let him die.
THEN he pulls fake marlone!!!!
seriously its not hard.
Well i guess you just cant compare the intelligence of a mage with that of an archer lol
but that was my REALLY annoying KQ experience

I'm just saying that from personal experience. The range difference isn't noticeable. But i'm not a huge fan of Archers so you should ask Dynanub. I'm sure he'll be able to give you a more solid opinion on that.

You have to be careful with that. Sometimes you'll walk closer than you actually need to when casting a spell. Ice Bolt is the only spell you'll want to use when pulling because it has the longest range of the Mages spells. When you go to lure just repeatedly hit the key to use Ice Bolt and you should be able to cast it at the correct distance.

O-mie:
Thats only good for losing hate. But most of the time (hopefully all of the time) a Fighter will use Snearing Kick once you lure Mara/Marlone down to them. So Nature's Protection is quite pointless in that situation if an intelligent Mage is luring. :P

Sometimes you have to be a little sneaky, because fakes can get in the way and you have to sacrifice yourself a bit to get them out of the way. I think tanks are better for luring the fakes away since they can take a hit or two.

XD yeah i didnt realise ice bolt as a different range.. i didnt get that skill for my mule.. so yeah.. but wat O-mie said seems true too.. Archer hving NP would probably help...

many times, the puller often dies.. but if u've got a good team they'll always be revived... but then this thread is about bad teams LOL so probably gotta be extra careful....

i think i'll just let others pull.... kekeke
