Everyone I've heard that read the series are only continuing on because they've already invested so much into reading the other ones.
But do you like the story overall?

WoT will seem like a complete rip-off of LotR through the first book, but the serioes takes it's own tone through the next three books. From the 5th book onwards, things slow down, and the series seems to drag on and on...all up to the 11th book, where events explode in delightful fashion, and leave you biting your nails waiting for the 12th.
