My mom is also really bishy about getting good grades....I got a B for spanish, and she thinks Fiesta is effecting my grades. Honestly playing Fiesta made me smarter for some reason o.o

Its because Fiesta works your brain, kind of. MMOs require strategy and thinking.

But yeah, seems like parents always pay attention to what is the worst of a situation, even if it isn't that bad.

I got 3 A's and 2 B's on my last report card.

Cause well.. I only have 5 classes as of right now @_@

My mom was happy but said I should be getting straight A's. She's right but.. /shrug

(Can't get A+'s at my school)

for me its just if i dont get to play fiesta(or any game im obsessed with) then i get less smart and cant pay attention in class... but my mom takes my comp away when i get TO bad of grades... which = no mmos = failing school? :/

o.e i think i'm worse off then most 'cuz last year i got all A+'s and one B+, and my mum wasn't happy with me, blaming it on fiesta DX she now restricts me to 40 mins of computer each day ._.

My mom used to blame it on games too.

Can't complain now cause I'm holding 3.7 GPA (out of 4). :]

We used to say in high school... you get an Asian parent and they'll be like 98%?! What happened to the other 2%!!! Get a non-Asian parent and they'll think your kid is a genius.

and if I don't play games I get bad grades because if I don't play all I would be thinking about is how much I miss playing and not pay attention >_>

News flash almost all parents care about your grades and will look at the worst grade and say hey what happened.

I want my kids to do their best and will ask why they didn't get a better grade.

C's why not B's why not A's

And I will talk about what caused them to struggle or have problems with the subject.

I have a daughter that just doesn't seem to get some things in her math class but by talking we found out that she understands the concept but sometimes the question doesn't make sense to her but if she reads the question out loud she understands it better.

ohh well parents care thats why the do the things they do.

every last crazy thing the do.

it also kinda gives the parents the perspective that... why arent they recognising the kid's good efforts and only picking on the average?
