System restore is like a checkpoint which saves your computer in it's most recent working state, where one is made every time before you install something, or use Windows Update.
Factory settings restore wipes your system clean, and reverts it to the out-of-the-box state.

You guys need to cut back on the porn.
Firefox (NoScript + AdBlock) + Threatfire + Avast! + Spybot's TeaTimer = very, very little adware/spyware/malware.

If you don't have access to server space somewhere, gmail is a good sort of poor man's offsite backup for certain filetypes, heh. Documents, pictures, music, things like that.

Hrae, what's porn? HAHAHAAHHA LOL!!!
BTW, I think I got the virus from a Myspace ad I accidently clicked on. For some reason it opened up in a new tab like when I open up the Fiesta magazines... Then I had delete the firefox process in the Task Manager, then BOOM! HEADSHOT!
I got ads. But, now, after using lamchops' programs, I'm all good.
