Burn easily, as in externally right? I've never heard of anyone experiencing internal burning. o.o
NVM if you don't want to share.

O.O You're speaking figuratively right?
And okay, I get it.

I have also heard you should never drink anything cold when you eat. It was something about the cold affecting the way our body handles the fat in the food. But I am by far no expert on the matter, so not sure how true it is.

I think the hot/warm vs cold water thing is a matter of which seems to soothe your throat better. I find hot/warm drinks soothe my throat when it's sore much better, while colds seem to irritate it. Cold drinks numb my throat, which helps for a little but generally my throat comes back feeling a little worse. On the other hand, hot/warm drinks help with the inflammation and phlegm I get from a sore throat. This is based on what I experience. Can't give citations cause it's based on old home (not my home) remedies.
However, I can confirm the calories your body wastes heating cold water doesn't really factor in. I'm sure that process uses less than 1 calory.
