Who would've thought I'd make two threads on the same class about opposite topics!
I joined Gold Hill KQ on my alt Mage with Endure... at 1400 HP. My party consisted of a Lv18 Cleric, a Lv19 Fighter, a Lv23 Fighter, and a Lv2x Archer. There were some other people but they quickly dropped out or maybe they just stayed at the start and leeched.
Either way I was naturally the tank (I seem to tank no matter what class I play) with the high HP. We're happily going our way while I spammed my AoE. We get to the fakes and it's a breeze other than the fact that our fire power was small. The Cleric was an awesome healer despite the fact that he was the only one. The 2x Fighter wasn't a great help though cause he goes "keeping healing me at all times". Yeah maybe if you stepped up and tanked.
Anyway, we get to the ship and kill Mara with little to no problems. But Marlone... we were all on the stairs and a fake Mara was close by. And of course it chased us up the stairs and killed everyone off. Myself and the 1x Fighter survived the hit so it wasn't an auto-fail. We someone managed to regroup... with 4 people left. The 2x Fighter used up all the hearts so he went bye-bye.
Because of the little slip up I died and lost my HP buff and was down to 911 HP. The other Fighter still had his buff so I asked him if he had Snearing Kick (it's so sad I have to ask this...) and yay he has it so I tell him to use it. I get Marlone and I'm still spamming pots and stones to stay alive. He kicks but nuuuuuuuuuuu Marlone won't let me go. So it ends up hopping back and forth and the Cleric is doing a great job keeping up with the heals.
And we succeed! Woot! That was such a great Mara KQ. :3 The end.
