Ayways, I will delete the duplicate link.

I just finished editing the site:

- Banner now has the website link embedded into it
- Stats and Rate/Review links appear above the Stats table in the third column of TopSites list
- News box now appears on the top of the site
- Referral mod implemented (people who refer others to the site appear in the Referral panel)
- Ratings box added to Stats panel in the TopSites list
- Movement arrows changed
- FAQ section added (link is in the navigation menu)

I'll send you the correct code that you can use for FiestaFan.

That is the most confusing part.

Easy, when you submit a site, it will ask you what is the website url you want to submit. When users get to this part in the link submission form, they shouldn't put in FiestaFan's website link. Users duplicate urls because they put in the same website url but ifferent email...the system accepts the same website url but not the same email. Therefore, you are able to put in the same website url but you have to put in a different email.

I'm going to put in a mod that will prevent users from entering in duplicate website links.

Users can put in WHATEVER website link they want. The TopSite list was made for the sole purpose so that people can submit whatever Fiesta sites they have made. It doesn't have to be FiestaFan...FiestaFan is already on the list. If FiestaFan wants to have a vote, somebody has to click on the image code (the Aardvark TopSites image banner), then go to the TopSites list, click on the "Join" link at the top, and fill in the form. Votes are based on submitted sites so if someone from FiestaFan submits a site, FiestaFan earns a vote.

It's just the FiestaTop100 code that's floating around everywhere. I don't particularly need that.

Votes are based on submitted sites so if someone from FiestaFan submits a site, FiestaFan earns a vote.

If we want to vote for FiestaFan, then we have to submit some other site????

The code shows people that FiestaFan is on a TopSites list and is in competition with other sites. It gives people the chance to click the image that the code generates and go to the TopSites page.

If you want to vote for FiestaFan, you have to click the image that the TopSite code generated, then actually go to the TopSites pageand submit a site by clicking on Join.

Votes are based on submitted links. The image code is a tracker. It will tell the TopSites system where the person was referred from. If the person submits a site to the TopSite list, a vote will be cast upon the site that the person was referred from.

Currently, on the Fiesta TopSites list, sites are ranked based on pageviews, not votes. Votes only tell people how much people contribute to the TopSites list. If lots of votes were from FiestaFan, it would show that FiestaFan has a lot of contributors. So, no...you don't actually vote...you just promote your site and get pageviews. The sites with the most pageviews are listed at the top. It shows people what sites are the most popular.

Alrighty, correction on how the Voting system works:

I have no idea where I got the concept of "you have to click on the image code, go to the site, enter a site link, then your referring site will get the vote". I contacted a Moderator to get the full definiation of what "Votes" are and how they occur.

Votes are unique hits to the image button. So yes, there IS a reason why that image code is important. Every unique (different people...can't be the same person) person who clicks on the image banner (the image code that the Aardvark topsite list generates) and goes to the TopSites site will earn the referring a vote. For instance, if member1 clicked on an image banner from www.websitelink.com and then got directed to www.topsites.com then www.websitelink.com would get a vote.

That actually makes sense from my previous concept especially since it puts the image code into a priority.
