I got confused at first on how to play the different ranks, so I had bought MM highest rank at 20 or 21 and empowered it. Then I realized MM1 was best for spamming, but I tried to empower that and the one point gave me +1 dmg but then adding a 2nd point didn't do anything. So I don't know- can you not keep empowering lower level skills? There are 2 dots = 2 dmg empowers, but only +1 dmg showing. Blah.

Also, I am done empowering FB and now starting the cooldown. Even +1 on the cooldown is .8 sec. That's a pretty decent cooldown even with just one point!

Another question: I figure you should keep getting the highest ranking FBs bc it's so powerful, but is it worth it to keep putting empowering dmg pts in FB if every few levels you switch ranks and the points don't carry over?

the points do carry over.

thats my argument that if you just use MM1 and dont use MM max that often, then empowering damage is a waste of points. +5 to damage for MM1 adds 3 damage i think. MM3 it adds like 36 tho, making it much more effective use of points.

If you use FB max often (most mages do, i've noticed) then i suggest empowering cooldown.

What i will do is put 15 points on magic missle then save the rest of my points till later, see what high level skills i use most.

I think i'll spend my points in cool down both for MM and FB. The next fire skill will h ave its cool down based on the FB skill.
Maybe 5 points in enpower of fire. Even at lv 1 u got good damage increase.

I undertood power on MM is really not work. only +3 dmg and i use only at lv 1.

Personally I've found Cooldown the only empowerment worth getting for MM. If you have extra points then SP reduction will also be good, otherwise put the rest of your points in SP Reduction or Power Increase for the other skills you have.

I use only L1 MM, L1 Fire and the max level of my other skills and spam MM alternately between each one. MM is my base attack. Works well enough for me.

A single empower to Magic Burst might be worth it, as it adds alot more then the remaining 4.

I spent 5 on MM cooldown, 3? on MM spell cost (enought to reduce cost to 1MP).
1 point to Magic Burst (AoE) Power. 5 Points on Firebolt Power, 1 Point on FB cooldown, 1 point on FB cost i thinks.. other than that saving points.

I'd say the best two spells to use for grinding are Magic Missile and Firebolt.

After reading some Japanese Fiesta wiki... there's some additional suggestions.

MM1: SP Reduction ~ 2pts so-so effect. 3pts would be perfect.
IB: Increasing de-buff effect time
FB: Power, if you like you can to CD
TB: Increasing de-buff effect time, CD
Magic Burst: CD and SP reduction

They also did some research between MM1 and MM8. This person used MM1 and MM8 in KQ against the same monster and got these results.

MM8 1480 1570 1503 1515 1425 1538 1406
Damage 368~460 MP Cost 74 Average Dmg 1491 MP1 = average of 20 damage
MM1 1175 1082 1183 1174 1145 1106 1188
Damage 11~14 MP Cost 3 Average Dmg 1150 MP1 = Average of 383 damage
